Accidents happen. Price increases don't have to.

Protection For More Than Just Motorcycles
We know the rich landscape of Florida lends itself to more than just standard bikes. Good thing motorcycle insurance from Esurance covers tons of other awesome rides, including:
- Dirt and off-road bikes
- Scooters
- ATVs and UTVs
- Golf carts
- Segways
- And more
Motorcycle Coverages In Florida
Florida is a no-fault state, which means after an accident, motorists typically handle any medical claims through their own insurer, no matter who was at fault.
To make Florida even more distinct, it's one of the few states that doesn't require much motorcycle insurance. For instance, riders in Florida generally do not need to carry personal injury protection (PIP).
Instead of any specific coverage, Floridians are required to meet a financial threshold in case of injuries. You must carry at least $10,000 in medical benefits, but this can come from your regular health insurance.
Recommended motorcycle coverage in Florida
Even though liability insurance isn't required in Florida, the state strongly suggests all riders voluntarily purchase it to comply with Financial Responsibility Law. If you're ever in an accident, convicted of DUI, or involved in other incidents and you don't have motorcycle liability coverage, you could lose your license, among other penalties. We certainly believe you should never (ever) ride without it.
As a good starting point, we recommend getting at least:
- $10,000 bodily injury protection per person
- $20,000 bodily injury protection per incident
- $10,000 property damage liability coverage
Optional Motorcycle Insurance Coverages
On top of basic coverages, we offer many other helpful options for motorcycle coverage in Florida, such as:
New motorcycle protection
We'll pay the MSRP on an equivalent replacement bike if your new motorcycle is ever totaled.
Trip interruption coverage
Breaking down on a long road trip can leave you feeling a bit helpless. With trip interruption coverage providing up to $500 per incident, we'll help you out with:
- $100 for lodging
- $50 for alternate transportation
- $50 for food
And that's per day until your bike is fixed.
Collision coverage
Esurance motorcycle collision coverage helps repair or replace your vehicle, riding leathers, and other apparel (up to $500 per helmet) if you run into a car or other object.
Comprehensive coverage
Comprehensive protects your bike from risks like vandalism, theft, or wind damage.
Towing and labor coverage
We'll cover up to $100 if you need a tow to the nearest qualified repair facility.
